All playlists for this programme are delivered using Spotify.

Listening to music has greatest impact when it is intentional and done with attention. To prepare, take a little time to close your eyes and breathe deeply and slowly into your belly. Allow your muscles to relax and focus on sinking heavily into your chair or bed.

It is important to find music that is right for you. Not all these playlists will be to your taste or support you emotionally. Using these playlists as a springboard, we would encourage you to create your own playlists on a platform like Spotify. You will then become your own Music Therapist, ingesting music as the powerful medicine it can be when used regularly and mindfully. You will get most benefit from using music this way by listening for 20-30 mins 3-4 times per week.

All these playlists use the Spotify platform and you will need to install this on your device if you are listening at home. Spotify can be used for free or, to eliminate advertisements interrupting your listening, a monthly premium ($11.99) is payable.

You might use this small script written by Buddhist teacher, Thich Nhat Hanh to help slow your mind and prepare to be immersed in the music. Say the words internally, timed to match your breathing.

In, Out,

Deep, Slow,

Calm, Ease,

Smile, Release,

Present Moment, Beautiful Moment.
